President’s Message for January 2026

by Susan Rosenberger, co-president

We had an interesting presentation at our last General Meeting on Friday. While it was somewhat geared to young, still working women, there were many ideas that could be pertinent to many of our members. We still can set goals and work to achieve them. We can make good use of our time by becoming mentors to those younger than we.

Speaking of ways in which we can grow and improve our lives and community – As I mentioned at the meeting we are in need of someone or several someones who would volunteer to take on a “one and done” project for our Branch. That project is to form and chair the nominating committee setting up a slate of officers for next year. While it has been traditionally a “someone” who volunteered to be this person, it doesn’t have to be a solitary position. Sometimes several heads work better anyway.

We are coming to the time of year when the Nominating Committee needs to get formed and started. Many of our current Board members are continuing their positions but some are choosing to retire from their current position, maybe to take a break, maybe to try another position. Women who have chaired or been on the Nominating Committee certainty would be happy to give ideas and hints to the new committee. So please, talk with someone you would like to work with on this project and take this opportunity to grow and improve our Branch and sign up to be a part of the Nominating Committee.

Thank you.
