HundredX

Robbin Ward, VP Funds

I have an exciting announcement! This year, we will be partnering with HundredX to bring our community a new way to support AAUW without spending a cent. Here’s how it works.

Beginning tomorrow October 24 through November 24, every time you share feedback on a brand or business with HundredX, you will generate $1.60 to support AAUW. This means that you can personally create $120 to support our mission by sharing 75 quality opinions!

With your support, our goal is to generate $5,000 which will allow us to send young women on to higher education and to help us fund Tech Trek. Your continued generosity has been instrumental in allowing us to carry out our mission.

Watch this short video and sign up to start your reviews.

If you are not able to sign up online using this video, join us on Monday October 27 for Happy Hour 4:30-7:00 at Fettucine Marcello, 821 Via Suerte, Suite 101, 92673. This is where our holiday party will be so it’s a sneak preview. I will help you sign in and get started. If you can’t join us for Happy Hour, I will be on zoom on Tuesday October 28 at 9:00 to help you. See your Weekly Update dated October 23 for the Zoom link.

As an added incentive, I will be raffling off 2 bottles of wine to two lucky participants. Be sure to sign up by the end of Tuesday October 28 to be included in this raffle.

Thank you so much for all those who so generously bought tickets for our fundraiser, the 2025 Shopping Extravaganza. This year we were able to sell 75 tickets and earned $25 for each ticket sold or $1875. Your contributions help us meet the goals that we have and the impact that we make in the lives of so many women continuing their education. Those of us who were able to attend had a very pleasant day of visiting with friends, discounted shopping, having a nice lunch followed by a wine tasting, and winning money for some of our favorite stores.

Thanks to Susan Rosenberger and Lynda Winter for joining me in volunteering to work the event.

Our yearly requested minimum $100 membership contribution can have an even greater positive impact during times like these. College enrollments, while plunging after the years during the COVID pandemic, have been rebounding and this fall particularly among low-income students who are registering at California Community Colleges. Funds designated to AAUW and Teck Trek will also be well spent to aid in meeting critical needs.
