BOOK DISCUSSIONS

Remarkably Bright CreaturesBOOK WORMS will meet Thursday, March 28 at 1:00 at Nasra Kwentus’ home to discuss the book ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ by Shelby Van Pelt. CONTEMPORARY NOVELS, PLUS will meet the last Monday of the month on March 25 at Karen
Reisdorf’s home to discuss “And There Was Light” by Jon Meacham. Information will be sent to members via email. Contact person: Tammy Isaacs.

EVENING BOOKS meets the 3rd Monday of the month at 7PM. The group will meet on Monday,  March 18 at 7pm at the home of Audie Sturla to discuss “White Trash: “The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America” by Nancy Isenberg. LITERARY CONVERSATIONS will meet Monday, March 4th at 1 pm at Patricia Busch’s home. Carol Tuch will lead discussion of “Two Blue Birds” by D H Lawrence, in our new book, The Great Short Stories of the Masters. Information Contact: Laurie Jacobs.

Let's play bridgeBRIDGE: Bridge meets the 2nd Thursday of the month from 11:15 am to 3:30 pm at Fratello’s restaurant in San Clemente, lunch around noon. For March 14 game, please RSVP to Nasra. Information Contact: Nasra Kwentus

MAH JONGG: The Mah Jongg group meets every two weeks on Friday evening at 6:15 p.m. The March games will be at Jane Robinett’s home on March 8 at 6 p.m. and at Marge Hobbs’ home
on March 22 at 6 p.m. We would love to have new players. If you would like to join the group or learn to play Mah Jongg, contact Jane Robinett.

DINE OUT OPPORTUNITIES

HAPPY HOUR We will meet for Happy Hour on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 4:30pm at San Juan Creek Golf Club. Everyone is welcome. It is a great way in a casual atmosphere to get to know your fellow AAUW members. You just need to let Suzi Klickstein know if you are coming, so we can set up the right amount of tables and chairs. Please don’t forget to wear your name tag.

LUNCH BUNCH: The Lunch Bunch will meet on Wednesday, March 20th at 11:30 at Coastal Kitchen, 34091 Pacific Coast Highway, Dana Point. Please make reservations with Lynda Winter. For information, please contact Lynda Winter or Audie Sturla.

SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

Foreign Policy Association logoINTERNATIONAL INTERESTS  meets at 1:00 on the second Tuesday of the month. Our next meeting will be on March 12, 2024 at 1PM. Please let Irene Berardesco know if you would like to be on the email distribution list for 2024. Topics are selected from the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions Series. Don't Dress for DinnerMATINEE DRAMA meets the 2nd Friday of the month at 1:00 p.m.  The next meeting will be Friday, March 8 at the home of Marge Hobbs to read the comedy, “Don’t Dress for Dinner”. Please RSVP to Tanya to let her know you will be attending. All are welcome! Contact Tanya Johnson for information.

MEANDERING WOMEN, a walking, strolling and meandering group, generally meets every Saturday at 10:30 at the Dana Point Harbor in front of Harpoon Henry’s. We will not walk on Branch General Meeting dates. Sandy Cupp and Marge Hobbs are co-leaders.

MOVIE GROUP usually meets the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7PM. The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 27th at the home of Joan Nielsen for their annual Oscar party. Information Contact: Joan Nielsen.
